Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is the leading body of accreditation and licensing of health care professionals and training programs in Saudi Arabia. Its overall mission is to improve professional performance and skills in the Saudi health sector, and to enrich scientific development in the various fields of health sciences in the country. To achieve these roles, SCFHS regulates and provides many postgraduate education and other training opportunities in different health specialties including the Saudi Board, a number of fellowship degrees, and other training programs.

Journal of Health Specialties (JHS) is a quarterly peer-reviewed international journal published by the Saudi Commission of Health Specialties. The journal’s full text is available online at www.thejhs.org. The journal allows free access (Open Access) to its contents and permits authors to self-archive final accepted versions of articles on any OAI-compliant institutional / subject-based repository. The journal does not charge for submission, processing or publication of manuscripts.

Original articles contributing new knowledge or insights for the professional practice of medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry and allied health that may include studies of clinical and basic health sciences. Review articles are welcome but should be undertaken after first contacting the editorial offices. In general the journal will give priority to articles that have information relevant to professional practice in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
